阳泉市第一人民医院创建于1948年11月，是山西医科大学、山西中医学院的附属医院，是长治医学院等院校的教学医院。其前身是晋察冀边区医院，经过73年的发展，现已成为集医疗、教学、科研、预防保健为一体的“三级甲等”综合医院。2014年成为首批国家“住院医师规范化培训基地”。2021年成为阳泉市互联网医院。

医院开设病床1000张，设有80个科室，其中职能科室19个，临床科室41个，医技科室20个，职工总数1600人。建院以来，医院秉承“重德博识，善思敬业”的院训，以学科建设为立院之本。医院学科建设完善，其中骨科为省市共建重点学科，内分泌科为省级重点专科，心血管内科为省级重点建设学科。

Yangquan City First People's Hospital was founded in November 1948, It is the affiliated hospital of Shanxi Medical University and Shanxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the teaching hospital of Changzhi Medical College and other colleges. its predecessor is shanxi Jinchaji border district hospital，After 73 years of development, it has become a Top three hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention and health care. In 2014, it became one of the first national standardized training bases for Resident physicians. In 2021, it will become yangquan Internet Hospital.

The hospital has 1000 beds and 80 departments, including 19 functional departments, 41 clinical departments and 20 medical technology departments. The total number of staff is 1600. Since the establishment of the hospital, the hospital has been adhering to the motto of "Heavy morality and broad knowledge, good thinking and dedication" and taking discipline construction as the foundation of the hospital. The hospital has perfect discipline construction, among which orthopedics is a key discipline co-built by the provinces and cities, endocrinology is a provincial key specialty, and cardiovascular medicine is a provincial key discipline.
